“Helping children and adolescents grow through challenges, one brave conversation at a time.”
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queens College at The City University of New York, where I also completed my Master’s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology.
I worked for many years in public schools with multi-ethnic students from Pre-K through 12th grade. I spent several years in a citywide program for emotionally challenged children who struggled in traditional school settings. My work addressed social, emotional, and behavioral barriers, learning challenges, ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders, special needs, and issues related to substance and sexual abuse, neglect, and foster care or adoption. My responsibilities included conducting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, providing counseling, developing behavior modification plans, and consulting with teachers and parents. I also developed Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans to ensure students received needed services and accommodations.
For over 20 years, I have been a licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist in private practice, counseling children and adolescents. I am also a Certified Family Court Mediator, offering support and therapy for issues related to separation and divorce.
